Summer / Fall Film

Some key points:
~ We're primarily filming in North Bay, so if you live in the Bay, all the better! ~ On that note, if you are one of the fortunate North Bay people, (yes, the Ontario one), please join our new Facebook group North Bay Artists' Network (NBAN). We're hosting our first NBAN meeting for June 8, 2019. Details of where coming soon. ~ Last fall we submitted a similar call, but winter came so early our shooting was delayed. For those of you who were in touch and are still interested in some upcoming rolls, PLEASE do reach out again! ~ We have three projects planned for this summer / fall so have lots of roles to fill! |

That's right, it's that time again... time to roll cameras, whip up some fake blood, and let the screams ring out. It's indie film season!
But first things first...we need amazing talent!! Nothing comes to life without you, so please check out the character breakdowns, and if you're interested, reach out and say hello, via Facebook, Instagram, or email us at [email protected].
We are shooting in and North Bay, Ontario, so we'd prefer our cast to be local to the area. However, some exceptions may apply! We aim to shoot a few short films and scenes for a longer work throughout the summer. Each character will require a one or two day shoot (about 7 hours (or less, depending on character) in the evening, dates TBA, depending on everyone's schedule. We aim to accommodate all involved, and mostly likely will shoot on a weekend).
Our first film, Farm Girl Strong, played the festival circuit to great results. We then put it on YouTube where it received over 1,000,000 views! Our latest film, 3:12, is currently on the festival circuit and awaiting a VHS release. Our first feature, Black Forest, is available on DVD and for download on VimeoPro.
If you're interested in working on these films, please note:
~ we are non-union, so we can't work with ACTRA members.
~ we offer very low, or no pay. That's the scale. So if you're in it for the money, we suggest finding another film to work on.
~ we will provide you with a great film experience, and your work will be seen. We guarantee that.
- we will provide footage for your reel, if you'd like
~ we expect our cast to be willing to help create additional material for an Indiegogo campaign, and any "behind the scenes" type of documentaries pertaining to the films below.
And now, for the details...
Feature Film: Title TBA
We have 80% of this film shot, however, still require some actors to complete a 'wrap around' story to bring everything together.
The scene will be shot in North Bay, most likely at a motel or lodge, and we'll need at least two female actors.

Title: Devil's Night
A young couple anticipate a fun, private getaway at a trailer in the woods...what occurs is not what either of them could ever expect...not even in their worst nightmares...
Character Breakdown:
Male lead: 20's to early 30's, good looking, charming in a slightly sickening way, harbouring terrible secrets. Female Lead: 20's to early 30's, attractive, slightly naive, too in love with the male lead, also harbouring terrible secrets. Both characters exhibit a very dual nature, as they exist to perceive, and act accordingly depending on their audience. Manipulators. Female Supporting cast (two): Late teens to early 30's, most be able to commit evil, vengeful deeds and look good doing it. Other supporting cast: Two women (teens to early 30's) who appear in a video sequence of terror, which is watched within the film. A good scream is a plus. |
